When Fresa Amalia had the opportunity to visit Labuan Bajo back in 2012 to discover the beauty and the wild life of Komodo Islands, she immediately fell in love. Thus she decided to gather all the experience and knowledge she gained, to share it to people in a way, that would make her truly happy. She believes, that exploring the islands of Komodo will enrich you with an experience that will last for your whole life.
Started at 2013, we are one of the pioneers in Komodo sailing and continue to take people on an unforgettable journey to the Komodo National Park, as well as an escape from the hustle and bustle of city and everyday-life. With our unique homey-style of sailing, we make Samara your home at sea. We pride ourselves on providing the best, most comfortable sailing trips you will ever experience.
Fresa is the founder and director of Samara Liveaboard and Floresrunaway. She experienced the beauty and wild life in Komodo back during her visit on 2012. She is involved from the very beginning of Samara building until now. Fresa is now more focusing on keeping the operational quality, branding and marketing.
Laika really has the passion to assist and discuss with you about your sailing plan. Whendoing so, you are surely in the right hands. She is the one you will be frequently in-touch with. She joined the team since early 2019. She delivers our best sailing package to you and to many more people out there, to experience a wonderful sailing trip with the most well-maintained wooden Phinisi in Labuan Bajo.
His passion to always makes sure everything in place for your unforgettable sailing trip has been at its peak. Emannuel is a wonderful local man who helps Fresa with all the operational things since 2014 – until now. His leadership is acknowledge by all the crew and most people in Labuan Bajo.
Willy is a responsible man behind the Samara I wheel for every trip. He joined the team in 2018. His mission is always to safely lead the cruise, keep everyone safe and comfortable during the sailing trip. He has a good cooperation with his crew members to make his mission completed.
Thanks to his knowledge of even the most remote area in Labuan Bajo and surroundings that can go beyond your expectation. Stefan is a delicate and amazing man to keep you safe and feeling like home during your sailing trip with Samara II. He started sailing with us in 2016 – until now. Every crew member in Samara II alongside with Captain, will also ready to assist you to make your trip more memorable.
