Padar island is the third largest island part of Komodo National Park. It is administratively under the West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, located between Komodo and Rinca islands within Komodo archipelago. There is no Komodo Dragon in Padar Island.
Like mostly island in Indonesia, Padar has a dry climate, with bushes and grassland make it into Savana hills. With a rugged topography combine with steep volcanic mountains and hills set against deep bays with beaches in different colors, most of them are white sands, while some beaches have grey and pink sands. If you going to visit Padar island, you need to prepare yourself for trekking. It is also popular within the travelers for scuba diving and snorkeling in the sea around the island.
