Komodo offers year-round diving, however, the sweet spot for ideal diving conditions is April to November. During these months, you’ll enjoy calm seas, exceptional visibility (often up to 30 m), and comfortable water temperatures between 25–28 °C
April to June – Perfect for clear water and gentle currents, ideal for drift diving and spotting manta rays.
July to September – Considered peak season; expect bright coral gardens and consistent safety conditions for intermediate divers.
October to November – Still excellent diving — plus quieter sites as seasons begin to shift.
December to February – Rainy season brings stronger winds and reduced visibility. Yet, it also coincides with the manta migration, making it a wild, vibrant time for experienced divers
Komodo’s nutrient-rich currents bring in massive schools of fish, graceful manta rays, reef and pelagic sharks — even sunfish (mola mola) on rare occasions. Plus, macro lovers will delight in sightings of pygmy seahorses, vibrant nudibranchs, and cuttlefish
Access remote, uncrowded dive sites unreachable by day boats. You’ll often roll in before the crowds, giving you exclusive time at top sites like Batu Bolong, Castle Rock, and Manta Point.
And yes, night dives are an option too. Healthy currents and tides define the rhythm — and our crew’s liveaboard expertise ensures you experience each moment at its peak .
While Komodo is known for challenging currents, many sites are suitable for intermediate divers or certified beginners. Our expert dive guides will tailor the itinerary to match your certification, comfort level, and interests.
Komodo National Park is home to some of the most iconic dive sites in the world — each offering its own thrill, biodiversity, and beauty. Here are a few highlights:
A coral-covered pinnacle rising from deep water, home to swirling schools of fish, reef sharks, turtles, and vibrant macro life. One of the most photogenic dives in Indonesia.
Known for thrilling drift dives, this channel funnels strong currents that bring in pelagics, including mantas, sharks, and giant trevallies. An adrenaline rush with incredible reward.
Open-ocean seamounts famous for big schools of fusiliers, jacks, and hunting predators. Expect current — and action.
Gentle, colorful, and perfect for a relaxed dive or for beginners. Soft corals, turtles, and great light make it ideal for long, easy drifts.
A manta cleaning station where you often see dozens of graceful rays swooping above the reef. A must-dive in Komodo.
Each of these sites is best accessed by liveaboard — letting you arrive early, dive without crowds, and enjoy surface intervals in total privacy.
You don’t need a license to enjoy diving with us — but it depends on where you’d like to dive.
We offer PADI courses and introductory dives for beginners, especially in calmer areas. However, some dive sites in Komodo and Raja Ampat have strong currents and are best suited for certified divers.
We’ll guide you based on your level and goals — whether you want to try diving for the first time or complete a certification during your cruise.
Yes — we provide all premium gear, including masks, fins, wetsuits, BCDs, regulators, dive computers, and weights.
Naturally, all equipment is cleaned and maintained by our team to international safety standards. You’re also welcome to bring your own gear if you prefer.
It’s completely up to you. Most guests enjoy 2–3 dives per day, including optional night dives. However, we tailor each charter to your energy and preferences.
If you’d rather skip a dive and relax on the deck or take a paddleboard around the bay — that’s all part of the plan.
Located in the heart of the Coral Triangle, Raja Ampat is widely regarded as the most biodiverse marine ecosystem on Earth. With over 1,500 species of fish and 600+ species of coral, it’s not just diving — it’s a living underwater museum.
Nowhere else will you find such a stunning variety of hard and soft corals — every dive feels like entering a new world of textures, shapes, and neon colors.
From majestic manta rays to elusive walking sharks, wobbegongs, ghost pipefish, and schools of barracuda, the range of marine life is overwhelming — even for seasoned divers. Macro lovers? Prepare for nudibranchs, pygmy seahorses, blue-ringed octopus, and more.
Many dive sites in Raja Ampat are protected and sheltered from strong currents, making it ideal for both experienced and intermediate divers. Liveaboard diving allows you to explore remote reefs where day boats never reach — and often, you’ll have the site to yourself.
Emerald karst islands, secret lagoons, white sandbars, and early morning dolphin sightings — Raja Ampat isn’t just about diving. It’s a total immersion into untouched nature.
✧ Best time to dive: October to April, with the calmest seas and warmest water.
✧ Available on: Samara Otium and Mischief
Inspired by the Latin word “Otium” — meaning Leisure.
On board our yachts, leisure is not a side activity — it’s a philosophy. While some guests choose to dive into the deep, others immerse themselves in the quiet luxury of slow travel. This is your time, and it unfolds however you wish.
Morning yoga on deck as the sun rises over a quiet bay
Snorkeling in shallow reefs, surrounded by life but free from gear
Spa treatments and massages with the sound of waves in the background
Paddleboarding or kayaking along limestone cliffs and hidden coves
Private beach landings for picnics, shell collecting, or a barefoot walk
Afternoon naps in the shade, rocked gently by the ocean
Otium is the luxury of choosing not to rush.
It’s space to reconnect, reflect, and enjoy being present — at sea, in nature, and with each other.
